Sinte Pier Winter Wonder Walk 2026
On Tuesday 29 December 2026, the village of Nieuwvliet turns into a winter wonderland for the eleventh time during the Sinte Pier Winter Wonder Walk. An illuminated route of about 3 kilometres takes you past atmospherically lit monuments, narrow alleys and hidden corners in the village centre. Along the way, music, street theatre and winter treats await.
What can you expect at the Winter Wonder Walk in Nieuwvliet?
- Illuminated route: a walk on paved paths through the village centre, including the Molenweg, Dorpsstraat, Bavodijk and Mettenijedijk.
- Music and street theatre: musicians and street performers provide surprising moments along the route.
- Winter treats: hot chocolate, mulled wine and local treats at stalls and refreshment points, with waffles at museum De Karrekasse.
Practical information
- Date: Tuesday 29 December 2026. Start times will be announced later; in previous editions the walk ran from 17.00 to 21.30.
- Start: on the Dorpsstraat in Nieuwvliet. Park at one of the car parks within walking distance, outside the village centre.
- Accessibility: the route is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Dogs on a lead are welcome.
